Hi my names Andy and I cover the Maidstone area of Kent and I have been a DVSA approved Instructor for over 20 years. It's great to know that you're helping your students gain the experience and confidence that they need to be able to make driving a part of their everyday lives.
I think the key to being a good driving instructor is being able to listen to your pupils. It's important to listen to their aims, and to adapt the learning experience according to their own abilities and experience.
Learning to drive can be intimidating, and I believe it's part of my job to make it as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Patience is a big key and I hope that my attitude to the whole experience is key to making my pupils feel comfortable and confident.
